Google form

For week nine in this Tech. 4 Teachers class, we discussed Google Docs. We set up our own survey that others can both view and participate in. This form will allow students to interact within the classroom and beyond school doors. Students will have the opportunity to both see the interest of others and take part in filling out the surveys to list their interests. With Google Form, all results can be viewed by the individual who set up the form. Students can virtually study whenever they want with this being available 24/7.

Sam and Computers

Sam is a young girl who spends alot of time on the computer. From the time she wakes up in the mornings til when she goes to bed. She spends a lot of time palying World of Warcraft. This type of interaction teaches students teamwork. Texting seems to be the next best thing to ice cream. Everybody is doing it nowadays. Students are capable of achieving so much through technology.

Paula White Reflection

This week, we watched a video with Paula White and learned some methods that students may apply to give them a better understanding how to use technology. The young man William was creating his own webpage where students could visit and complete math problems. As White stated in her video, kids learn through emulating their elders. It teaches students to work together. Hannah wrote a description of the class and did it with great passion. Celine wanted to study engineering and began creating pages based on her goals. Teaching these students to engage will give them a better understanding of the subject and retain information better.

Just Like You

I am completely amazed at how closely related animals are to humans. Animals show many of the same tendencies and provide for their young just the same as us. Animals have many different characteristics which distinguish them from human beings, yet they have more in common than you think.

My survey

This week we went over how to create questions for Google Form Survey under Google Docs and post them for classmates to complete. This is a good resource for students to utilize when preparing presentations. Students have the opportunity to interact with the teacher or presenter while the presentation is going on. They can also view the results of the answers. The following is a survey I completed on Google Docs in class. This video will help to show how to set it up
